The Red Chair

The Twin Cities have some pretty rad talent.

Our man Chuck Love is amongst the most talented we’ve got. DJ, performer, producer, videographer, all-around awesome dude. He’s a real talent and an internationally known Twin Citizen who’s got some big-time friends in the music world.

So it wasn’t a surprise when Chuck let us know about this remix he did of Preservation Hall Jazz Band’s collaboration with Mos Def and Lenny Kravitz. The video is pretty amazing and just the fact that Chuck is working with these guys is cool.

What’s more, the Preservation Hall Jazz Band is in town this week, playing last night and tonight at The Dakota in downtown Minneapolis. Of course, Chuck was there.

Preservation Hall is a huge deal, guys. They’ve collaborated with so many amazing musicians, from Jim James to Mos Def, Jay-Z and a ton of other pop icons, and they’re from New Orleans.

If you’ve got time tonight, they’re playing twice (730 and 930p), and tix are still available.

Anyways. Check out the video and keep your eyes open for more from Chuck and his newly created Love Network.
