The Red Chair

Can robots feel love?

That Stephen Hawking-esque question brings the geek out in in us here at Twincy. And makes us think of our favorite design store.

ROBOTlove has been bringing design to the masses for 5 years from their location in Uptown. A tastemaker in the local arts and design community, the crew at ROBOTlove has created a community around good design, bringing events, gallery shows and gear to an audience that may feel marginalized by “Art galleries”.

ROBOTlove recently moved to a bigger, sexier location in Northeast and we were lucky enough to grab some time with Kristoffer Knutson, the man behind ROBOTlove, and get a quick tour.

He even gave us the deets on the next gallery show at the Pink Hobo space, Hello QR Code - a show that will feature absolutely no art on the walls, but use QR codes and smartphones to interact with observers.

If you don’t know ROBOTlove, you should stop by the new store at 507 E. Hennepin and check it out. Think art and design-centric t-shirts, gifts, toys and more. If you’re into well-designed stuff, this is the store for you.
