We just couldn’t resist.
A firkin keg of Fulton Beer’s Sweet Child of Vine IPA, a patio party at Common Roots Cafe, and a chance to chat with the men behind Minneapolis’ own beer. It was too much. We had to go.
The firkin was brilliant. An intriguing flavor change from their standard version of their IPA, the beer was thick like apple cider, but with all the great hoppiness that Fulton’s IPA has become known for.
Fulton Beer started in a garage in Minneapolis’ Fulton Neighborhood. The garage is still their galactic HQ, but now the boys brew large batches of their tasty beers at a contract brewery in Black River Falls, WI. And their beer is IN DEMAND.
Keep an eye on these guys. Rumor has it they may be opening a small brewhouse IN MINNEAPOLIS by end of year. We’ve also heard talk of Fulton starting to bottle their beer this fall.
Twincy loves beer. But we especially love local beer. And Minnesota has become home to some great brews. Fulton is just one example. There are dozens more. So drink up, and support local brewing. You never know, these guys might become the next Anheiser-Busch.
