The Red Chair

Iowa & Co-Op Cupcakes
Spending an entire weekend in Northeast Iowa is actually a lot more fun than it sounds. Eating every meal from a Kwik Trip isn’t.
The corner of the state where Minnestoa meets Iowa meets Wisconsin is covered in rolling hills, winding creeks and a ton of nature. It’s one of our favorite spots to get away from the city - without dealing with the “up-north” traffic nightmare.
Don’t think this was all fun and games though, on the way back up we stopped in Winona, MN at the Bluff County Co-Op for the regionally famous Mon Petit Cupcakes. A small display case housed our 4 choices: Turtle, Red Velvet, Mint Chocolate, or Double Chocolate.
I forget how spoiled we get here in the Twincy, especially with our sweets. Although they weren’t a “Salty Tart Surly-Chocolate” or even a “Cake Eater Whiskey-Chocolate”, they were solid…and if I’m in the area again - I’ll stop back through.
